‘A single planet’ is an award-winning weekly radio program presented by Lithuania’s national public broadcaster.
Featuring local and international experts, NGO’s, scientists and thought leaders in discussions that explore a wide range of topical global environmental issues, Lithuanian National Radio’s environment editor Vaida Pilibaityte contacted Dr Anthony Horton with an invitation to join the conversation.
With the Rio Olympics being held at the time, he was asked to address questions regarding the environmental impacts of the 2016 Olympics; what could be done to mitigate them; and how future Games can meet environmental criteria to implement a successful ‘Green Olympics’ policy.
Providing a pre-recorded interview, Anthony’s expert environmental commentary was translated into Lithuanian and referenced throughout this programme which aired on 22/8/16.
